STAVROS BEACH

Stavros is a small sandy shore about 20 minutes from the center of Chania. It has  shallow clear green waters and it's perfect for children.

PALEOCHORA

Facing the Libyan Sea the village has sandy and pebbled beaches, some of them are organized.

KEDRODASOS

Kedrodasos is an impressive off-the-beaten-path beach, very close to Elafonisi, hard to access but incredibly beautiful!.

KALATHAS

Located on the Akrotiri Peninsula, only minutes from the center, this is a great kid-friendly beach, perfect for water sports too!

Loutro is a tiny village with a small pebbled beach with crystal clear waters. The access is mainly by boat or hiking along the coastline.

GEORGIOUPOLIS

Located in the region of Apokoronas, the small village of Georgioupolis has a main well-organized beach and a few other more solitary shores.

GLYKA NERA (SWEET WATER BEACH)

Glyka Nera is a wide bay, mostly pebbled, with clear deep waters. Parts of the beach are devoted to nudism. You can get there hiking or by boat.

PLATANIAS

Platanias is a fairly big beach and seaside resort which extends all the way to the next beach of Agia Marina.. It is very popular and only minutes from the center of Chania

SEITAN LIMANIA

Another incredible beach on the Akrotiri Peninsula, There’s absolutely no organization, so pack a lunch and drinks, and everything you might need for the day.

FRANGOKASTELLO

Frangokastello is a wide sandy shore in South Crete with a Venetian fortress by the sand and fairly shallow waters, which makes it a great shore for kids.

And of course... BALOS LAGOON with its incredibly shallow and clear shores and white powdery sand, about 45 minutes from Chania.

FALASARNA BEACH Famous for being the best place on the island to witness the sunset, Falasarna is a must-go place for water sports!

ELAFONISI BEACH ...Located on the southern coast, Elafonisi has beautiful turquoise waters and its sand with pinkish tones has made it the most visited beach in Crete!
